working part time right now. looking for a full-time job before the end of summer (hopefully way sooner). going to be rebranding myself (how many times have i said that int he past 4 months) and moving my domain to www.jessevaughan.com. i've learned a world of new information working for VDS and i'm excited to be doing all of this web design. fingers crossed for the future.

my site is now semi-ie compatible! yay! no major updates. will be looking to do a few changes in the next month. maybe incorporating a new blog or something. stay tuned. whatever the hell that means.

ok. i'm still recovering from the sinus surgery i had last week. in my down time i managed to find some of my senior project files, so i uploaded a new section in photography: strangers in bedstrangers in bed. that project moved around 3 different galleries over the course of half a year and took nearly an entire semester to finish from conception to framing. personally i believe it is conceptually my strongest photographic work to date, and i hope to explore more similar topics in the future.

uploaded a new photography section, 'umbc eventsumbc events' with some selected photos i took while working for the office of student life at umbc. i just found out i misplaced my files for my senior project 'in bed,' sooo it looks like that won't be up for a little while.

also just uploaded my mdaidentity manual from spring 2009. i promise to resize the rest of the photos and other stuff later, but i'm pretty tired right now.

doing some final tweaking including image resizing, adding new things, changing some layouts and optimizing performance. should be done within the next week. in the meantime i've added new projects under photography, vietnamvietnam & girl talk. more additions soon.

just got the skeleton of my new site up and running, i hope you all enjoy it. it's still in a rough/working stage so not all of the kinks are worked out, but in the next few days it should be at about 98%!

two months later and it's looking like i'm oging to get the ball rolling. i'm traveling to vietnam for 21 days and along with my camera i'm bringing a notebook, pen and computer in hopes of hashing out a new website to be unveiled in the next few months. i'm thinking about taking a new direction, one more fitting to myself and my style and i'm actually really excited about it. if you're interested, keep an eye on my blog for screenshots of sketches and comps. woo!

added my rgb website under web work and updated the website images. i'm very close to getting my foot in the door as far as updating the entire site. this plus my blog need a facelift.

the past few months have been a blur. i graduated. i moved. i've gotten a lot of work done, but none of it relating to this site! my big summer plan is to revamp everything and give it a new look/feel plus add and subtract various works. keep your eyes peeled.

finally started using flickr, again. i had an account before the switch to yahoo, but i never actually updated it with pictures and none of the ones i did upload were any good, so this is a fresh start. i shot the girl talk show on sunday, so those are the only shots i have up, but there will be more casual shots in the future.

just adjusted the padding on the content container and added my most recent web project: New Media Lecture Series. i'm thinking that in the next couple of months i'm going to sit down and do a site redesign just so the content is a little more uniform and easier to navigate. more on that later.

f it. i just reverted my blog address to the tumblr page. i know i can get it to work, but i'll save it for later. not much else going on right now. i'm working on some huge projects both photo and design related, so if i don't die by the end of april, i'll get them posted. i will probably rearrange some of my other work around too.

happy valentine's day. blog is still kind of dead, but i just added a "MISC" section on the left nav bar for miscellaneous works and single image projects. that should be updated relatively frequently.

blog's still on the fritz kind of. thought i had that worked out, but eh. just uploaded the final version of the awe shack menu because i just finalized it with the owner. this was a great project to work on, a lot of fun and i'm glad he liked how everything turned out.

95% of projects have been posted. just waiting on finalizing the menu for the awe shack and getting my futura book back from peggy re. yay! the blog is still acting kind of weird, but i should get that straightened out soon. i think i can finally take a break from this after tonight and actually do some real work.

i've got a lot of stuff going on right now but somehow i'm still managing to stay up into the late hours of the morning messing with code. it's addicting. blog is 75% there while the main site remains at 50% (no example work yet.)

it's pretty late at night... or early in the morning, but either way i spent wayyyyy too much time working this layout. i've got a bunch of nav links up on the left but the only real working pages are my biography and the links page. expect work to be up within the week! after that i'll get started on the blog....stay tuned.
